Colleen Karasinski, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Founder of Oceanside Mental Wellness
Oceanside Mental Wellness represents the culmination of a lifelong career in nursing and my passion for supporting individuals on their mental health journey.
I began my career as a registered nurse, spending over 25 years caring for patients in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. Those years taught me the importance of listening deeply, showing empathy, and treating each patient as a whole person.
For the past five years, I have worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, combining my extensive nursing background with advanced training in mental health. This role has allowed me to focus on helping adults navigate various challenges, such as living with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and addiction, by offering both medication management and psychotherapy when needed.
Nicole Guckin, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, now transitioning into an expanded provider role to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care for individuals ages 18 and older. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals across diverse settings, developing a deep appreciation for the complex relationship between mental, physical, and emotional health.
I specialize in the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and family or relationship challenges, as well as those navigating mental health concerns complicated by medical conditions. I provide thorough psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful and evidence-based medication management, and ongoing, collaborative care tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals.
My approach is grounded in compassion, active listening, and genuine human connection. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe that healing begins with trust, and I am committed to building strong therapeutic relationships that foster openness and growth.
I practice from a whole-person perspective, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by life experiences, relationships, and physical health. Together, we work to strengthen resilience, improve coping, and restore a sense of balance—empowering each individual to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and quality of life.
